Will my laptop be messed up if I play a pc video game on it?
Posted by admin | Under Game PC Video Monday Nov 10, 2008I just wanted to know that can my laptop play my need for speed carbon pc game on my toshiba laptop? It is a toshiba and it is very new, just got it 2 and a half months ago and it costed me 650 dollars if that matters. Please tell me if I play this on it, will anything on my laptop be messed up now or in the future?
Yes and no….
Say your playing need for speed carboon you get to excited and you lost the race so you throw your laptop on the floor in frustration. Yes it would ruin your laptop.
Say you were playing street fighter or another figuter game, it may ruin the keyboard after a while from the constant button smashing. (always better to use a seperate keyboard when playing games on a laptop – laptop keyboards are more expensive to replace)
Say you just won the race and you get so excited you jump out of your seat and knock the laptop down. Yes it would ruin it.
Say you were watching a movie and spilled pepsi on it, yes it would.
But installing a game nope not really.
im on my laptop and im playing the sims
and it doesnt mess me up but i dont know
for shure.

your laptop is a PC… as long as you have the required specs for the game you should be fine.

all you have to do is check if the game specs are compatible with your laptop's specs.
if your laptop is a new model, it's bound to be ok with nfs since most new laptops are released with the latest hardware features.
some of the important things to check are your laptop's:
video card
ram
hard drive memory
stuff like directx (not sure if this is a software, get the latest from the microsoft site)

If it has everything that the game needs to play on your laptop then it wont be messed up. If you don’t have the specs then the game wont work

Your laptop is a PC. I play “PC” games all the time on my laptop and it’s fine. I play The SIMS all the time on mine and a few other games.
Btw, you’re going to hate your Toshiba. I had a Toshiba for my first laptop and it SUCKED so much. It got getting really hot and started turning off even when I didn’t have it on for very long.. I even had one of those laptop fans to keep it cool under it and it still messed up. I had to take it in about 10 times (not even exaggerating on that) within the first year. I finally got to get a new one for free because of the “after 3 times, you get a free laptop” or whatever it is Best Buy does. It was a lot more than 3 times (obviously) but they kept making excuses for why it didn’t fall under that “plan” or whatever it was. But needless to say, I ended up getting a new laptop because that one was so crappy and it was the “best one” Toshiba had… psh. I have a HP now and I love it… it’s 100 times better than the Toshiba. My fiance’s dad decided to not listen to me about Toshiba’s and bought one and now he’s having so many problems with it. My fiance is a computer tech so luckily he can fix pretty much anything, but Toshiba’s are a waste of money… I wouldn’t have one if it was free.
Anyways, sorry for going off on Toshiba’s.. I just thought you should know about that. But back to the question, yes you can play a PC game on your laptop.
